Reach Out With Cards

Welcome to the
Reach Out With Cards Website
Communicating a personal message should be… well… personal.
I'd Like to Introduce Myself
Hi, my name is Jess Hermosillo. For 20+ years, I was in the person-to-person sales business. I wouldn’t sell anything I felt unsettled about just to make a buck. And I only signed on with a company I felt comfortable representing.I thoroughly research a product or service before I offer it and only promote it if I’m certain of its practicality, affordability, and usefulness.I fully understand that in a sales career (as is in life), a person’s good reputation is invaluable.

There's Nothing Like a Traditional Greeting Card
You may have received a card in the mail from me asking you to visit my FunAndEasyFundraising.com website. My message to you wasn’t delivered in today’s typical communication fashion. That was intentional.More than likely, you may not have opened an email, text, or social media message from someone you don't know. To protect our digital devices, we should all be vigilant towards dangerous cyber threats.By the way, thanks for reading my card :)
Using Traditional Paper Cards as a Business Tool
In 2019, I discovered the online greeting card company Send Out Cards (SOC) and have been a customer ever since. At that time, I worked in a sales position, and my practice was to mail a "Thank You" card through SOC to customers who bought from me.Mailing a traditional card to a customer expressing appreciation for a purchase is a standard practice in a sales career.I looked at other online greeting card companies, but I liked the low price point per mailed card, creativity, variety, and the address directory tool SOC offers.
A Season of Learning
A few years after being honorably discharged from the US Navy in 1986, I joined a multi-level marketing (MLM, also known as network marketing) company.I learned a lot about product presentation, the sales process, and the importance of uncompromised customer service.I was an independent representative with that company for 10 years, but decided to exit that type of business model after a family breakup. So what does that have to do with mailing cards?I’m glad you asked. Let’s fast forward to April 2022.
I Found Myself With a Great Desire to Help
In April 2022, I relocated to the Philippines (PH) and served 18 months on a Christian Mission. I self-funded, which means I paid my expenses the entire time I was there, including airfare to PH and back to the US.After arriving at my final destination, I saw several desperate needs I felt I could help improve. So I did what any other good guy would do - I took out two bank loans for housing renovations and to help with the financial needs of those wonderful people who took me in, loved on me, cared for me, and looked out for me during my stay.

I Returned to the United States and Got Back Into Sales
After returning to the US, I found myself with an uncomfortable high level of debt.To get myself out of this pit, I methodically researched business opportunities to find a company I wanted to represent as an independent salesperson. After a year of looking for the best fit, I decided in early 2025 to contract with a company (not MLM) to offer non-profits a service to help them with their fundraising efforts. To showcase my service, I created the website, FunAndEasyFundraising.com
Back to Send Out Cards (SOC)
I periodically receive emails from SOC with news updates, to include when SOC added "Promptings" as a 'sharing gratitude with others' inspirational tool a few years back.Although, as far as I was concerned, as long as SOC continued to give a great cost-per-mailed card deal, I was good.In early April 2025, I received an email from SOC inviting customers to join them on a free online seminar. It explained that corporate HQ in Utah was to disclose a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT. This caught my attention. Was SOC selling out? Was the price per card going up? I decided it would be a good idea to join the meeting to see what this was all about.

Welcome to The Age of Digital Cards on Steroids
SOC Rolls Out “ACT”
The big announcement from SOC HQ was about their latest development: a digital card that could be sent instantly via text message, email, and on most social media platforms to almost anywhere in the world. My business mind perked up when it was announced that this service would be offered for:
-> A very low fee of only $10 USD monthly for an unlimited number of digital cards
-> The digital card catalog had a varied assortment of popular categories, and
-> You could upload self-taken pictures onto the app to add to your digital cardsThink of it!A professionally designed digital card with personally taken photos that could be sent instantly to anyone, just about anywhere, and "without limit", at a low monthly price!
I referred to my personal experiences and thought a digital card could be sent for the following purposes (although the actual list is truly limitless):-> Military parent(s) sending a digital card to a child back home for any reason (this is a BIG DEAL)
-> Military spouses sending digital cards to each other for any reason (this is another BIG DEAL)
-> For a church to reach out to their missionaries who are serving anywhere in the world (BIG DEAL)
-> Church ministries connecting with their members who’ve not attended worship services due to transportation issues or health reasons, especially if they live alone (sadly, this happens more often than not)
-> Send a "Feel Better Soon" digital card to a friend/loved one who’s in the hospital (emotionally uplifting)
-> Send a Happy Birthday message ON THE DAY OF A PERSON’S BIRTHDAY (in case you've forgotten)
-> A salesperson sending a note of thanks to a customer for an ultra-low cost! (a great way to ask for referrals too)
The Possibilities are Endless
A host of professionals and businesses could also use this very valuable digital service, such as:
-> Bridal shops and wedding venues
-> Realty brokerages and their sales agents
-> Salespeople with a client/customer list
-> Businesses with internet sales departments
-> College and University sororities and fraternities
-> Youth groups and community organizations
-> Private membership clubs such as Veteran groups
-> And the list goes on and on and on.Now, let the next statement sink in…"You don’t need a mailing address."All you need is a phone number, an email address, or a social media relationship. How simple is that?
I Liked What I Heard
Hearing of the vast possibilities of ACT digital cards, my business mind started to race: "There's a large marketplace for this product", I thought.I looked up the SOC fees for signing on as an independent sales representative (what they call a “Promptings Gratitude Consultant”) and found that the cost was only $99 USD per year.I seriously thought, "Is this something I should jump into?"A few important points I considered were the longevity of the company, the products offered, and the purpose the product line provides: Thoughtful messages of love, care, hope, and thanks. This is very much in line with deeply rooted principles I value and share with others.
Taking The Next Step
A few days after the April 12 meeting, I decided to sign up with SOC as a Promptings Gratitude Consultant. To be clear, I would make a commission if you visited my Consultant page and purchased a product. And if you took the additional step and signed up to be a Promptings Gratitude Consultant, I would be your direct “upline”, also known as a "Sponsor". I prefer to say I'm your guide as I'm only a step or two ahead of you :)I also want to be clear about this next fact: This is an MLM opportunity, not a hired job position. At the end of the year, you would not receive a W-2 tax document but a 1099. You would be responsible for paying income taxes (minus business expenses). I know this type of work isn't for everyone, so I thought it fair to bring this up now.
I Learned This Valuable Lesson: Trust Is Earned
I've written about my background, my experiences, and my choice regarding this opportunity. I had no intention of ever signing up with SOC, but after years of being a customer, I did so because I trust the company and its digital future.I'm thinking some of you are saying, "Not for me," others are saying, "I'm all in," and still others are saying, "I only want to be a customer." Either choice is good.If this opportunity isn't for you, it may be a good fit for someone you know. Just share this website with them. Working SOC may help a person take the first step out of a situation they need help digging out of.
Here are several points to look over: 1) Why SOC is a great company to purchase from, and 2) Why be a Promptings Gratitude Consultant:
